Exploring Travel Trailer Manufacturers

There are a large variety of travel trailer manufacturers in existence today.   Each manufacturer has their own "claim to fame" that sets them apart from the others, even if the overall lay out looks similar. 

So how do you decide which manufacturer to go with? 

If you are wondering which one is the best, I will give you the same wisdom my father gave me. 

Dad always said "They're all good until they break down" and in my experience, no truer words have been spoken.

My family and I have owned many trailers in our life time.  Some have had absolutely no problems and some we regretted the day we purchased it.  Funny thing is, a few of both came from the same manufacturer.

It doesn't matter how much you spend, or the reputation of the manufacturer, you could still purchase a coach that winds up being a "lemon."  Don't let that stop you from enjoying the ownership though:-)

This page and the pages related to it are meant to familiarize you with the different companies and lines that are out there.  We will share the various models and sub models available as well as a few high points and low points that you might want to consider.

I recommend that you also look at the various owner's forums for any manufacturer  and model that you might be interested in purchasing.  They will give you a real world view of what to expect from people who own these coaches.

A Great Variety of Choices

Go to any RV show and you can be overwhelmed at the amount of different travel trailer manufacturers you will see.  By the end of the day they all look the same and you will probably forget ninety percent of the names.

All the manufacturers have at least one item that makes them stand out from the rest.  For some it might be an entry level price, others could focus on fuel economy when towing, and others might focus on total luxury.  

Taking some time to research each one in depth will give you a more enlightened view of which manufacture might best suit your needs and desires. 

We will examine many of the manufacturers in the following pages.  This will in no way be a complete list.  Every year new manufacturers come and go, others combine to form new companies, and others just change their line.

We are also, in no way recommending one manufacturer over another.  This is an objective comparison of various travel trailer brands that can benefit anyone wanting to purchase a new or used unit.
